Counselling for individuals and couples
I am passionate about supporting the wellbeing of individuals and couples across the lifespan. I offer a unique blend of expertise in my work with clients, holding registrations as both a psychologist and a pharmacist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
I approach therapy with warmth and empathy, recognising the courage it takes for individuals to seek help for their emotional and relational wellbeing. My goal is to provide a safe space where you can address concerns related to anxiety, depression, grief, loss, trauma, or interpersonal issues.

In my practice, I predominantly use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) with both individuals and couples. EFT is an evidence-based therapeutic approach, which was originally developed in the 1980s by Dr Susan Johnson in her work with couples. Since then, EFT has been expanded to include treatment methods for individuals. EFT is grounded in the science of attachment theory, which asserts that as humans, we have an innate need for connection with important others. EFT assists clients in exploring their emotions, particularly those tied to attachment needs, fears, and longings.
In individual therapy, understanding and expressing emotions enables individuals to develop a more cohesive sense of self. By addressing underlying emotional needs, clients dealing with depression and anxiety find relief from symptoms and cultivate healthier coping strategies.
In couples therapy, EFT aims to reestablish emotional bonds, fostering openness and responsiveness between partners, ultimately leading to a mutually supportive and fulfilling relationship.
In addition to using EFT, I also draw upon various evidence-based therapeutic approaches, tailoring them to address the unique needs of each client. These include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Schema Therapy.
